Biography

Steve Sheridan grew up in Wakefield Massachusetts and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1990. While growing up in Wakefield, he learned to play golf from his Dad and Uncle. Steve was fortunate enough to have a great PGA Professional (Bob Baldassari Sr.) take him under his wing and gave him an opportunity to not only work at Colonial Golf Club in Wakefield, but he gave Steve lessons and more importantly a place to practice and play as a junior golfer. After high school, Steve went on to graduate from the Golf Academy of the South in Orlando Florida in 1991 with his associate’s degree in golf course management. Steve returned to school recently and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts with his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in 2015.

Upon graduation from the Golf Academy of the South, Steve accepted his first Assistant Golf Professional position at Lexington Golf Club in Lexington, Massachusetts while spending his winters working at the Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort in Haines City, Florida and at PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

In 1998, Steve became the 1st Assistant Professional at Kernwood Country Club in Salem. Five years later he accepted the Head Golf Professional position at Meadow Brook Golf Club in Reading. Steve is extremely excited for the opportunities that Meadow Brook Club will present him and hopes to bring with him some programs that he has had success with in the past. Most importantly, Steve wants to bring with him the highest level of customer service that he has learned over the years by working with some the best PGA Professionals in the country.

Off the course, Steve is dedicated to serving the local community. He donates his time to various charities, including Jimmy Fund, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Reading Pantry Food Bank. Teaching has always been a passion of Steve’s and he has also coached high school hockey.

Steve and his wife Stacie have two children, Jared and Tommy. When he is away from Meadow Brook Golf Club, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, competing in New England Section PGA events and following sports, especially hockey.
